As you focus your planning for the upcoming year, instead of focusing on growth, perhaps you should consider a different kind of goal to go after…putting yourself out of a job!

If you’ve ever considered selling your business, any business broker or potential buyer will tell you that the thing they look for the most (beyond the basic financials that show you are making money) is how much of a role the owner is playing in operating the business. The value goes up substantially if the business owner is not involved in the day to day operations – because buyers don’t want to just buy a job…they want to buy a business!
